Paul
McCann: President was elected board president in 2006,
after joining the board in 2004.
A chartered accountant, Paul is also Ironman Canada Race Society treasurer.
He sat on the Penticton & Wine Country Chamber of Commerce board for six
years spending one term as president and has been a member of several other
community boards and committees since moving to Penticton eight years ago.

Jeff Omland: Chartered accountant Jeff Omland is Board Treasurer. Jeff has lived in Penticton for 27 years and was elected to the board in 2006, joining the Community Foundation because he believes in locally-based charities, where the funds raised go to work in the local communities. He is also a director with the Penticton Jr. Vees, a committee member of several BCICA committees and past-director of many community and amateur sports' organizations.

Marielle Brule: Marielle is a partner at White Kennedy Chartered Accountants and is very active in her community. Besides serving on the Board of the Community Foundation, she is also the treasurer for Critteraid. |

Patrick Bell: has lived in Summerland for 16 years and was elected to the board this year. A lawyer, Patrick is also a director with the Summerland Action Festival Association and has been involved with the Summerland Community Advisory Board, the Summerland Kinsmen, the Kettle Valley Steam Railway Society and served as president of the Summerland Chamber of Commerce. Patrick joined the Community Foundation board because he enjoys giving back to the community. |

Robert Hawes: A five-year Naramata resident, Robert Hawes was elected to the board in 2006. Robert has worked in the private and non-profit sectors in the environmental field for the past 30 years and was also involved with the Naramata Citizens Association, the Environmental Roundtable and chaired the South Okanagan Conservation Program. Robert says the Community Foundation's Environmental Legacy Fund is an exciting initiative that makes a long-term commitment to environmental stewardship and community education and provides a way for residents who benefit from living in this special place to give back for future generations. |

Chris
Hawkins: was elected to the board in 1999, after moving to Penticton
14 years ago. As well as being a two-time Ironman finisher, he is a
certified financial planner and past-director of the Penticton & Wine
Country Chamber of Commerce and past-coordinator of the Business
Gives Back Christmas Auction.
As a financial planner, Chris says he helps individuals and families build
wealth for their future needs - something the Community Foundation does for
all of the communities in the region. It is also a wonderful vehicle for
balancing immediate community needs with future concerns, he said. |

Susan Kelly: Susan Kelly is a Certified Financial Planner and Certified Senior Advisor. She has spent 24 years in the financial planning industry and is an Executive Financial Consultant with Investors Group, working with clients who are retired or about to retire. She has been the Vice-President and Treasurer of the Board of the OSNS Child Development Centre, Secretary of the Board of The Glenfir School and the Treasurer of the Kaleden Recreation Commission. Susan highly supports the Community Foundation as a wonderful way to leave a lasting legacy that directly benefits the local Community. |

Kim Lyster:
Kim Lyster has had a 25+ year career in the non profit sector holding a variety of leadership positions. Most recently she served for many years as the Executive Director of the Penticton & District Community Resources Society, a large multi-service organization providing services and supports to children, youth and families throughout the South Okanagan and Similkameen. Kim is involved with the Community Foundation movement because she believes it exemplifies the capacity of community and its citizens to care for one another through cultivating lasting legacies, stimulating innovative programs, and celebrating the diversity and generosity of contribution. |

Andre Martin is the general manager of the Penticton Herald. He is very active in the community, serving on many different boards and committees. |

Paulette Rennie:
Paulette
Rennie is the President of Valley First Credit Union and has spent over 30 years in the banking industry. Over the years she has been active in various associations, including the Oliver Chamber of Commerce and the Fairview Mountain Golf Course. Paulette sits on the Board of the Community Foundation of the South Okanagan because she loves the strong focus and commitment on helping the many societies and groups that work hard to make a difference in our communities.

Aaron McRann:
Aaron joined the CFSO in November 2009. He came to the CFSO from the Penticton Visitor Centre where he guided staff and led a team that handled over 80,000 visitors per year. Over his 5 years at the Visitor Centre, Aaron demonstrated impressive leadership, customer relations, strategic planning and community involvement. Aaron has been a very active community member since 2002 and is married with two children. |
