Community Foundation of the South Okanagan (CFSO) appoints new Executive Director

Paul McCann, Chair of the Board, is pleased to announce the appointment of Aaron McRann as Executive Director. In this role, Aaron is responsible for all aspects of the Foundation’s day to day operations. Aaron will work closely with current donors, non-profit organizations in the South Okanagan, other foundations and the Board of Directors.

Aaron comes to the CFSO from the Penticton Visitors Centre where he guided staff and led a team that handled over 80,000 visits per year. Over his 5 years at the Visitors Centre, Aaron demonstrated impressive leadership, customer relations, strategic planning and community involvement. Aaron resides in Penticton and is married with two children.

One of Aaron’s first tasks will be to oversee the granting of donor funds. Grant applications are due by January 15, 2010.
Founded in the early 1990’s, the CFSO manages nearly $5 million, encompassing some 60 funds that generate income of just over $100,000 to be put back into the communities of the South Okanagan each year.
