SUMMARY:Possibility Circle: Neighbour-Led Learning & Action #4
DESCRIPTION:The Possibility Circle is a monthly gathering for neighbours who want to strengthen connections\, share ideas\, and explore what’s possible where they live. Rooted in Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD)\, this circle brings people together to learn from one another\, celebrate small wins\, and grow local action – one spark at a time. \nMany participants are current or past Neighbourhood Small Grants (NSG) project leaders\, volunteers\, or folks who are simply curious about getting involved. The Circle offers a supportive space to reflect on NSG experiences\, develop new ideas\, and explore how small\, neighbour-led moments can grow into lasting community impact. \nEveryone is welcome – whether you’ve hosted an NSG project\, are dreaming up your first one\, or are just looking for a place to connect with others in your community. Throughout the year\, guest speakers from the Tamarack Institute and kinSHIFT will join us to share stories\, tools\, and perspectives that support neighbour-led learning and action. \nThis is an online circle\, you are encouraged to bring your dinner\, settle in from wherever you are\, and join us for an hour and a half of connection\, learning\, and possibility.

SUMMARY:100 Women Who Care - April 8 - Penticton Golf and Country Club
DESCRIPTION:We’re excited to welcome you back for our first 100 Women Who Care event of 2026 – an evening of shared purpose\, connection\, and collective giving. \nDate: Wednesday\, April 8th\nTime: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM\nVenue: Penticton Golf & Country Club \nWe’ll be serving light bites to keep the energy flowing\, and drinks will be available for purchase. \n This quarter’s theme: Supporting Children’s Well‑Being & Learning\nThis quarter\, we’re shining a light on organizations that help children thrive: whether by nurturing their well‑being\, enriching their learning experiences\, or supporting their educational journeys. We welcome nominations for charities that provide alternative or enhanced opportunities for children to grow\, learn\, and feel supported\, both in and out of school.\nThis theme is intentionally broad and open to interpretation. Your nomination might focus on wellness\, mental health\, experiential learning\, school-based support\, or programs that strengthen a child’s quality of life. If an organization helps kids feel more connected\, confident\, or capable\, it belongs in this theme! \nRSVP now to confirm your spot – we can’t wait to see you again! \nIf you need to make your one-time commitment fee and/or your quarterly donations you can do that here. \nIf you have any questions please email 100women@cfso.net. \nPlease note member RSVPs are open now and guest spots will open closer to the event date based on capacity.

SUMMARY:Trish & Phil Medical Bursary - Virtual Info Session 2026
DESCRIPTION:  \nInterested in becoming a doctor? Join us for a virtual information session where you’ll hear firsthand from a local physician about their journey into medicine—what it took\, what they learned\, and what they wish they’d known. \nYou’ll also learn about an incredible opportunity: the Trish and Phil Medical Bursary. This multi-year financial support program can cover up to 50% of your undergraduate tuition and 100% of your medical school tuition for students who plan on returning to practice in the South Okanagan Similkameen region. \nStudents must register to apply for the bursary\, and all registrants will receive a link to the session recording—even if you can’t attend live. \nDon’t miss your chance to take the first step toward a future in medicine! \nOnce registered\, a MS teams link to join the virtual session will be sent out by email.
