Morgan Edgerly

Director

Morgan Edgerly (They/Them) has served on the Board of Directors for the Community Foundation of the South Okanagan Similkameen since 2023. They bring years of experience supporting vulnerable youth across the South Okanagan and Similkameen through their role as Peer Support Supervisor at Foundry Penticton, where they have built strong relationships across the social services, health, and education sectors.

Morgan sits on numerous committees focused on youth mental health and wellness. They are particularly passionate about addressing and ultimately ending youth homelessness in the region.

Since joining the Community Foundation board, Morgan has served as Chair of the Succession Committee for the past two years and is currently in their second three‑year term as a board member. Previously, they spent six years on the Board of Directors for the South Okanagan Similkameen Pride Society, including two years as President.

Outside of their professional and volunteer work, Morgan is an active participant in local recreation, including hockey, multi‑sport, and softball in Penticton. In 2022, they created the first 2SLGBTQIA+ softball team in the Summerland Slo-Pitch League, which continues to grow in size and visibility. Morgan is committed to breaking down the gender binary in sport from the inside out.

They live in Summerland with their partner and two children.
