Give To Your Community

Whether you’re thinking about a one-time donation or building a lasting legacy, the Community Foundation can help you make powerful giving choices by connecting you to causes you care about.

By direct donation, or by pooling donations into a variety of funds, grants and bursary opportunities, we ensure that the charity of your choice receives funding today, and has the power to plan for tomorrow.

You can start by browsing the following Giving Choices in your community:

Community Programs

Community Programs are collaborations and partnerships between the Community Foundation and local organizations. In some cases, the Foundation provides in depth support, while in others we are excited to simply facilitate giving for the local projects: The Alcohol Use Disorder Project, Smart and Caring Communities, Penticton Youth Centre/Foundry Penticton, Summerland Refugee Sponsorship Program, and the PACA Flow Through Fund.

Community Funds

Community Funds are created to support a wide variety of activities specific to the community that created them. The Foundation currently administers seven community funds and is proud to work with passionate and generous citizens in each of these communities: Kaleden, Lower Similkameen, Okanagan Falls, Oliver, Osoyoos, Princeton and District, Summerland.

Personal Funds

We administer more than 150 endowment funds, donor-advised funds and agency funds, which are set up to provide consistent, recurring annual granting from proceeds earned from investing an original donation amount. While not all of these funds are open to public donations, many of them are. Or perhaps, you’re interested in creating a fund of your own. Contact us today!

Giving Events

The Community Foundation administers and supports two Giving Circle events: 100 Women Who Care and 100 Men Who Care. Members of these two groups meet quarterly to pool their donations in support of worthy causes. Not only does it feel great to give as a group, but it’s an excellent opportunity to meet new, like-minded friends. All are welcome. Find out how to join today!
