Penticton Public Library Fund

The Penticton Public Library Fund provides much needed supplemental funding that goes to support our programs and special collections. These may be anything from supporting the children’s Storytime programs to purchasing items for the Audiobook collections for our readers with print disabilities. In recent years additional community grants have also supported 3D printing and the one-on-one computer help program Borrow a Librarian.

Field of Interest:

EDUCATION & RESEARCH

Service Area:

Penticton

The Penticton Public Library has been providing for the lifelong learning, reading and information needs of the City of Penticton for more than 100 years. We do this through literacy-based programs, free computer access, as well as collections of all types, and so much more.

Additionally, in 2022 the Penticton Public Library Fund will help the Library transition into an overdue fine free institution. This is vital in helping the Library achieve its purpose in being a barrier free institution that serves all members of our community equally and fairly by removing fines that disproportionately impacts those who are the least able to afford it.
