In September, the Foundation team joined community foundations from across BC in Kelowna for ConnectBC, bringing local experiences to the conversation and gathering ideas to bring home.
Aaron McRann moderated a panel discussion on progressive investing, exploring how community foundations can put their investments to work for community benefit. Kevin Ronaghan co-presented Community Foundations as Capacity Builders, sharing how a regional partnership is helping nonprofits understand and communicate their impact. Kim English facilitated the Neighbourhood Small Grants Café and joined the Beyond Granting panel, sharing our support for Indigenous-led learning through Table Talks with IndigenEYEZ/kinSHIFT.

From community knowledge and storytelling to governance and investing, the gathering offered practical learning and opportunities to strengthen relationships with colleagues who care deeply about their communities.
