What started as one neighbour’s idea blossomed into a full community celebration this September, welcoming nearly 100 people (plus a few passersby wishing they’d joined in!).
From the warm snpinktn welcome to the harvest exchange table (with legendary cucumbers), kids’ crafts and games, yoga, and Poppa Thom’s music, every detail was planned with care. Neighbours shared food, laughter, and even sunflowers – the trickiest part of the day! The timing was perfect too: newcomers had just moved in, and they’re already eager to help lift the next big idea.
“Your encouragement and advice made this possible,” shared project leader JoJo. “Having support – from showing up with the tent to helping set a friendly, joyful tone – really helped make the day a success.”
Reflecting on the experience, JoJo added: “Start small, and then build the bridges to collaborate on a larger idea.”
These are exactly the kinds of gatherings that remind us why community matters. Vision, care, and collaboration turned one idea into a day of connection that neighbours will carry with them long after the music stopped.
