On a warm afternoon in Princeton, neighbours and artists gathered in the plaza for a Meet n Mingle supported by a Neighbourhood Small Grant and co-hosted by the Princeton Community Arts Council. The gathering had an easy, welcoming feel – artists shared their work, neighbours caught up, and newcomers to town were drawn into the mix.
Easels and paper were set up so people could sketch, jot down ideas, and share inspiration. Door prizes like notebooks and pins added a playful touch, while a mingle game – where people drew questions and answers from one another – kept conversations flowing.
Out of the mingling came real possibilities: one artist showed interest in joining the Arts Council board, others asked about getting on the gallery roster, and thank-you notes after the event made it clear that folks want to do it again.
The food was eaten down to the last bite (no waste!), and the energy spilled right out into the street – even catching the eye of passersby. What started as a simple idea turned into an afternoon of art, connection, and possibility in Princeton.
