Workshop: ABCD in Action – The Roots of Neighbourhood Strength

October 16 - October 17

October 16 & 17, 2025 | Penticton, BC

You’re invited to a powerful two-day Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) workshop designed to grow stronger, more connected neighbourhoods – together.

This gathering will bring together local leaders, curious neighbours, grassroots organizers, nonprofit partners, and municipal champions from across the South Okanagan and Similkameen. Through story, tools, and practice, we’ll explore how to activate the strengths that already exist in our communities.

This workshop also lays the foundation for something new:
🌱 The Neighbourhood Sustainability Stream (NSS) – a fresh addition to the Neighbourhood Small Grants (NSG) program launching in 2026. NSS will support climate resilience, local stewardship, and long-term community wellbeing. Join us to help shape this vision.

What you’ll gain:

  • Hands-on learning with ABCD facilitators

  • Local stories of neighbour-led change

  • Connection with others who care about their community

  • A role in shaping the future of NSG through the NSS pilot

Important details:
The workshop is limited in size to support meaningful participation.
A sliding scale registration fee applies based on your role in community (e.g., a part of the NSG community, resident, nonprofit, local government), with a true value of $400 per person. Lunch is included each day.
Attendance both days is required to ensure shared learning and relationship-building.
