Tom has been a lawyer since 1987 and has been a resident of the South Okanagan since 1993. As a lawyer in Penticton Tom had some knowledge about the Community Foundation because some of his clients wanted to name the Foundation as a beneficiary in their estate plans. After learning more about the organization, he realized the benefits and advantages for the community in having an effective organization working towards the benefit of those living in the area. Tom’s area of interest is in following the growth of the Community Foundation’s Smart & Caring Communities initiative and watching communities throughout the South Okanagan and Similkameen get involved with the Foundation.
